Our AmeriCorps Programs
Serving Communities In So Many Ways
ServeMinnesota provides AmeriCorps grants to organizations across the state that focus on a wide variety of issues, including education and overcoming opportunity gaps, housing insecurity, community building, youth mentorship, digital divide, economic opportunity, environmental protection and climate mitigation, recovery from substance use disorders and more.
Here are the programs currently serving Minnesota communities:
Education Programs
Breakthrough Twin Cities
Engage youth in learning and fun through the summer months with a goal of college access.
College Possible
Bridge the opportunity gap. Help low-income high school and college students to access and succeed in higher education.
Early Learning Corps
Help kids ages 3-5 to talk, read, write, sing, and play in order to develop early literacy and math skills.
Improve Your Tomorrow
Develop leadership skills and mentor men of color on their path to college.
Minnesota Alliance With Youth Promise Fellows
Serve as a mentor and build positive relationships with young people in 6-12th grade on their path to high school graduation.
Minnesota Math Corps
Spark an interest in math and STEM. Tutor K-3rd or 4th-8th graders to become more confident in math.
Minnesota Reading Corps
Help students become better, more confident readers. Choose to serve in a preschool classroom or one-on-one with K-3rd graders.
True North AmeriCorps
Make a real difference in the life of a child. Provide tutoring, mentoring, and after-school activities.
Environment Programs
Climate Impact Corps
Help communities mitigate and adapt to climate change by expanding the urban canopy, improving home energy efficiency, and leading community action.
Conservation Corps Minnesota
Help improve access to outdoor recreation, restore natural habitats, protect waterways, and respond to community needs and natural disasters.
Minnesota Energy Climate Corps
With a crew, support challenging and impactful energy efficiency projects.
Minnesota GreenCorps
Improve Minnesota’s environment and increase resilience to climate change while gaining experience
and a professional network for your future career.
Community Building Programs
Community Technology Empowerment Project
Teach technology for social change. Help youth and adults use technology to access civic, educational and economic opportunities.
Heading Home Corps
Help individuals experiencing homelessness find safe and stable housing.
Minnesota Recovery Corps
Draw from your experience to support youth and adults in sustaining their own recovery from substance use disorder.
Public Health Corps
Support public health initiatives across the state, including community engagement, data collection, and sustained COVID-19 response and recovery.
Resettlement Corps
Welcome immigrants, refugees, and newcomers to Minnesota and support their long-term resettlement.
Summer Impact Corps
Engage youth in learning and fun through the summer months with a goal of college access.
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity
Build, rehab, and repair homes in partnership with community volunteers and low-income families in the Twin Cities.
